Gadgets and TECH

Its the little things that make the biggest difference

What is TECH?

TECH is the name that we give to the items that we use in combat that are often described as Utility equipment. They are like smaller chess pieces for each Operator to use on their own, or as a team. From grenades to cameras, we list the ones that we recognize as a Squad. You don't need to have them right away, but its best to learn about them,

Ordinance

Ordinance consists of grenades and explosives for offense and tactical disruption. From BB-scattering fragmentation grenades to smoke and stun devices for concealment or disorientation, this category enhances CRT’s ability to control engagements dynamically.

Fragmentation Grenade

Wide-spread BB dispersal.

Designed to simulate traditional frag grenades, these devices scatter BBs in all directions upon detonation. They are highly effective for clearing rooms, suppressing opponents in tight spaces, or disrupting entrenched enemy positions. The wide area of effect makes them a staple for offensive strategies and tactical ambushes. Their lightweight design allows operators to carry multiple grenades without sacrificing mobility, ensuring readiness for extended engagements.

Impact Fragmentation Grenade

Detonates upon direct impact.

These grenades are triggered upon impact with a wall or structure, making them ideal for rapid, high-pressure scenarios where precision timing is critical. They deliver a powerful spread of BBs to neutralize threats instantly, even in confined spaces. Their responsiveness makes them a favorite for breaching operations or when engaging opponents in unpredictable, fast-paced skirmishes.

Stun Grenade

Disorients with flashbang effects.

Designed to disorient opponents, these grenades emit a loud bang and to simulate the effects of a traditional flashbang. They are invaluable for room clearing, creating confusion, and gaining a psychological advantage over enemies. By temporarily impairing vision and hearing, stun grenades allow CRT operators to breach and secure objectives with reduced resistance. Almost all fields count stun grenades as Fragmentation Grenades, meaning they can also clear rooms.

Smoke Grenade (Single Vent)

Concentrated single-direction smoke.

These grenades emit a thick plume of smoke from one end, creating a focused area of concealment. They are often used for covering advances, obscuring sniper positions, or signaling teammates during operations. Their controlled dispersion is ideal for narrow spaces or when precise cover is needed.

Smoke Grenade (Twin Vent)

Rapid dual-sided smoke cloud.

Double-vent grenades release smoke from both ends, producing a rapid and widespread cloud. This makes them perfect for outdoor engagements or when a large area of concealment is required. Their fast deployment ensures quick adaptability, whether for retreating, advancing, or obscuring enemy lines of sight.

Simulated Toxin Grenade

Simulated chemical threat.

The Toxin Grenade is a modified smoke grenade that emits a colored plume to simulate the effects of chemical weaponry. Functionally identical to a standard smoke grenade, its use as a "toxin" device depends entirely on field and event rules, offering an additional layer of tactical gameplay. In scenarios where toxin rules are active, players caught in the smoke may be considered "neutralized," forcing teams to adapt their strategies to avoid affected areas. When not used as a toxin grenade, it serves as a standard smoke device for concealment or signaling.

Sound Grenade

Loud and distracting, Simple and reusable.

The Sound Grenade is a speaker device that uses sound to create confusion and distraction. When deployed, it emits loud noises, voices, or music to disorient opponents. Unlike traditional grenades, it has no detonation. The Sound Grenade is especially useful in close-quarters combat or urban environments, where sound can echo and create heightened confusion.

Deployable

Deployables provide CRT with defensive tools and intelligence-gathering capabilities. Items like claymores, recon drones, and proximity cameras secure perimeters, monitor enemy movements, and maintain tactical superiority.

Claymore Mine

Directional explosive perimeter defense.

These directional explosives unleash a BB spray when triggered, either by tripwire or remote detonation. They are a reliable tool for guarding perimeters, chokepoints, or objectives. Highly effective for defensive tactics, they allow operators to control enemy movement and force opponents into disadvantageous positions.

Proximity Camera

An all seeing eye of sorts.

A compact, deployable surveillance device that allows the user to watch an area without risking their safety. It provides critical intelligence, allowing operators to monitor flanks, detect ambushes, and maintain situational awareness. The proximity camera is especially useful in dynamic environments.

Land Mine

Pressure-triggered explosive traps.

Pressure-activated devices that simulate real-world explosives, these mines are ideal for creating a defensive network around objectives. They deny enemy access to strategic areas and serve as a psychological deterrent. When used effectively, land mines force opponents to move cautiously, slowing their advance and exposing them.

Recon UAV

Aerial reconnaissance and scouting.

Equipped with a camera, the recon UAV provides aerial intelligence, scouting enemy positions, and mapping terrain. It allows operators to identify threats and plan tactical maneuvers without risking exposure. The drone's mobility and real-time feed make it a game-changing tool for both offensive and defensive operations.

Ammo Box

Field-ready ammunition resupply.

A deployable resupply point containing spare magazines, BBs, and gas canisters. The ammo box ensures CRT operators remain combat-effective during prolonged engagements. Its presence on the field allows the team to sustain firepower and maintain operational tempo without retreating to resupply.

Operator Wielded

These handheld tools and weapons expand CRT's versatility in combat. From shields and grenade launchers to laser designators and spotter scopes, they offer solutions for offense, defense, and precision reconnaissance.

Riot or Ballistic Shield

Mobile protective cover.

A large shield providing mobile cover for CRT operators, ideal for advancing under fire or breaching hostile positions. The shield protects against BB impacts, enabling the user to absorb enemy fire while teammates flank or suppress. Its durability and coverage make it a key asset in urban or CQB environments.

M302 Under-Barrel Grenade Launcher

Versatile under-barrel grenade system.

A versatile, under-barrel launcher for deploying BB grenades, smoke, or other ordinance. The M203 enhances the operator's capability to suppress enemies, create diversions, or clear obstacles, making it indispensable in multi-role engagements.

40mm Hand Cannon Launcher

Lightweight portable ordinance deployment.

A standalone launcher designed for quick deployment of smoke grenades or non-lethal ordinance. It provides a lightweight alternative for operators requiring rapid tactical adjustments without the bulk of a mounted system.
